theScore Adds as Authorized Sports Betting Operator

Canadian-based media content provider and sports gambling operator theScore has a multi-year agreement to become one of the NBA’s authorized sports betting operators.

The agreement gives the company instant access to official NBA betting data including league marks and logos for the Suscore Bet mobile sports betting app.

“theScore founder and CEO John Levy said.” This collaboration will help us scale up our offering as we work, providing a best-in-class integrated betting experience to theScore’s highly engaged media app users.”

Combination of Sports Media and Betting –

theScore Bet aims to combine its sports betting product and traditional media offerings in one place. Both major North American sports media companies allow consumers the opportunity to view traditional sports media content in the same place where they can place bets.

In September, theScore Bet launched in New Jersey as the first mobile sportsbook to be created and launched by a major media company in North America.

Expansion Has Been Expensive –

theScore Bet is currently still very small in terms of market reach in New Jersey, with just $ 8 million in total handling in the first three months of placing bets. By comparison, the state posted a record-pass handle figure for around $ 557.8 million in December, so theScore Bet still has plenty to grow in pursuit of company leader FanDuel.
