Online Gaming Sees High Traction By Indians due to social distance
Epidemic coronoviruses that affect all routine activities have forced the world to change their lifestyle, due to which people are practicing their work from home and spend more time online to engage themselves. As per the predictions of giants like Mukesh Ambani and Ruchir Sharma, online gaming is hinting at becoming an entertainment source for users.
According to Varun Ganju, Marketing Director of PokerBaazi.com, their platform has seen a 25% increase in traffic and 20% increase in transactions, Varun Mahana, co-founder of the online poker portal PokerDangal, agreed and said that his platform saw at least a 15% increase that increased traction restrictions. He said that we have 5000 daily user base activity which has now increased to 6000-6500 and the average time per day was about two and a half hours which has now increased to about 4 hours.
Tejas Shah, head of revenue and distribution at Game2Win, said, “We are seeing 1.5 million people playing our games against 11-12 lakh people every day.”
Shah of Games2Win also said, “This increase in users and engagement has also had a positive impact on revenue for us as more and more companies are looking at ways to reach audiences through digital.”
Although various online games are booming, fantasy sports platforms are becoming a hit as live sports events are canceled worldwide.
