Bombay Play Raised $ 1.5 Million from Leo Capital

Bangalore-based Bombay Play raised $ 1.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round from venture capital firm Leo Capital. Angel investor Ramakant Sharma, founder of Livespace, also participated in the funding round. According to report, Bombay Play plans to use the funds to recruit game developers and grow internationally.

Bombay Play develops multiplayer games. His app was downloaded 10 million times in the first year for his signature game card party. Apart from Card Party, some popular games of Bombay Play are Pokémon Tower Battle and 29 Card Games. They will also launch the Battle Royal Game Down Lockdown Crawl ‘this month.

Pleased with the funding, Bombay Play CEO, Oliver Jones stated, “India is on a rocket ship trajectory to become one of the world’s top sports development hubs.” We are building a team that has the vision and energy to deliver world class titles that will compete with the best. We are happy to raise this fund from Leo Capital and Ramakant Sharma.
