Pramod Sawant Discuss the Rules before Opening Casinos in Goa

The decision on rules regulating casinos in Goa is likely to be delayed as Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has discussed the rules in detail before finalizing any decision. According to a senior government official, the decision will be taken after bringing the coronovirus situation under control.

Since February 2020, only working Goans can enter the casino, with the state government appointing a gaming commissioner to oversee the casino to check if the locals are violating the rules.

Sawant has said that tourists will be allowed to enter the casino upon reopening until the rules are confirmed, but action will be taken against the Goans caught gambling.
